There was a period in my life where I was the Oncall for an extended period and I had to paste a lot of hyperlinks. I HATE long and ugly links. Honestly, I created Chotu on Sunday night when I was having that  feeling of wasting the weekend and the next day being Monday with more ugly links to copy-paste. I created Chotu as a tool for myself to shorten URLs without using a browser every time.
